Love Locks
Lonnie Holifield, a local grandmother, is working with the Albany Parks and Recreation Foundation to establish a heart lock memorial to be placed in Timber Linn Park. The project came to be as a way to honor the loss of her granddaughter, Jordyn Russell, who passed suddenly from an unknown heart defect when she just turned 16.

“The idea of having a memorial where others can come to honor their loved ones who have passed came to mind shortly after Jordyn left us. I had heard of the Paris bridge where lovers place a lock and throw away the key. I felt like there was something with that concept, something that could honor my granddaughter and allow our community to participate.” ~ Lonnie Holifield
Donations help cover ongoing maintenance of memorial installed at Timber Linn Park
